AYSA Girls Select Softball - Alpharetta Attack

The AYSA Select/Majors softball program is for players interested in taking the next step in the sport of softball. AYSA offers this league in order for players and families to determine if travel softball is right for them.

Players participating in this league should be looking to play travel ball in the next couple of seasons.

This league requires a higher time commitment, financial commitment, player skill level and desire to participate.

As such, softball should be the #1 extracurricular activity that the player is involved in.

Players must play in the appropriate age group (for example a 10/11 year old cannot tryout for the 12U Select/Majors team).

There will be one team selected for each age group (Exception: Fall 10U will have two teams).

8U All-Star/Select Team (Spring only)

Tryouts: March, 2011 - The 8U All-Star/Select Team Coach will be selected by the AYSA Board. Players in the 7-8 Recreational League will be able to attend the open tryouts in March.

Commitment: Sunday select league, 2-4 post season tournaments, additional financial commitment. Core Players graduate to 9-10 Select/Majors in Fall 2011 and will be the base for a 9yr old travel team in Spring 2012.

Commitment: NGFA or similar league, Sunday select league, 2-4 post season tournaments (season will last through early November), personal and/or team lessons (hitting, pitching, catching, etc.) - Teams may/may not participate in every league; participation will be determined by the coach(es).
